Couples should consider sleeping apart for the good of their health and relationship. Sleep research has shown that couples that share a bed suffer on average 50% more sleep disturbances.
Poor sleep is linked to depression, heart disease, strokes, lung disorders, traffic and industrial accidents, Alzheimer's and divorce.
The marital bed is an invention of the Industrial Revolution when people moved to cities and space was limited.
