Envy

Easy way to remember Envy: Envy is the emotion when you want a possession someone else has. (Diffen, undated, accessed 16 April 2016)
Envy has two meanings: (1) Sorrow at another's joy. (2) Joy at another's sorrow. (Source: historical moralists)
Questions to self: Have you just identified an as yet unachieved goal? Or time to realise you have all that you need? Is it time for Simplicity? Time to count your blessings? Or time for hard work?
Similar emotions: Greed, Jealousy.
Opposite emotions: .

The main difference between envy and jealousy is that envy is the emotion of coveting what someone else has, while jealousy is the emotion related to fear that something you have will be taken away by someone else. (Diffen, undated, accessed 16 April 2016)
