Capturing In order for this technique to be effective, we must possess a certain amount of available energy and know how to choose the appropriate moment to create a connection. Described here is a basic technique mentioned by don Carlos, the practice of which - with some variation - I have observed among indigenous peoples in Mexico. The moment in which day and night come together had a high significance for Don Juan since, as far as energy is concerned, it is a very appropriate moment in which to capture energy from the Sun. The technique is effective for sunset as well as for sunrise, but it usually functions better if we choose the one we are more naturally attuned to, according to the nature of our spirit. Personally I prefer sunrise, although my first experience was with the sunset.

Stop at this point and remain where you are until respiration and vital functions return to normal. (This is a technique called ‘Capturing Energy From The Sun’ or ‘Capturing The Energy Of Twilight’ taken from the book The Teachings of Don Carlos by Victor Sánchez) ![]() |
