Today

Yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore to this day!

[PWP’s comments: I had a yoga teacher that always used to recite this at the end of the class. Perhaps recite it as you greet the sunrise?
The title ‘Today’ is my title. Online it seems to be called things like ‘Look to this Day’, ‘Exhortation of the Dawn’, ‘Salutation to the Dawn’.]

The sun is rising over a beach scene. In the foreground on the sand is a tree trunk and roots, around which the surf streams smoothly. Beyond that there is more surf and light blue sea. Beyond that there is darker blue sea. Beyond that is the horizon sun with a mauve-coloured sky and clouds.
