Wand

This exercise is taken from the book Energize! by Elrond Blawyn.
You will need a wand.
The wand can be made from wood.
The book suggests the length of the wand to be as long as feels comfortable when a rod is held horizontally above the head with both hands at its tips - about 10 centimetres/4 inches between head and rod. Read more in the book.
Here is the exercise:

“Stand with your feet together and slide your hands out to the ends of the wand. Raise the wand overhead and then lower it behind your head to the top of your shoulders. Inhale and arch backward slightly, tipping your chin up so you feel a nice stretch between the tip of your chin and your pubic bone. Exhale and bend over forward as far as you can, while still keeping your back straight. The wand remains behind your shoulders. Continue for 9, 18 or 36 repetitions.

If you are outdoors, especially at sunrise, this is a lovely exercise. As you bend and straighten, try to feel the warmth on your chest. Greet the sun and the new day, filling yourself with life force, vibrant and strong, ready for adventures and challenges the day might bring.

The exercise can be just as energizing when indoors, because you can recreate the warmth of the rising sun in your inner eye, feel it, and draw strength from it, no matter what the time of day, or where you are.”

An otherworldly woman in an elaborate and wide purple dress is at the edge of a forest. She carries a magical wand with a circular tip which has a large glowing gem set in its centre. She seems to be pausing, looking back or to the side. Beyond the edge of the forest, the sun is rising behind the castle and its tower.
